Jakim: Do not campaign in mosques
PUTRAJAYA: The Islamic Development Department (Jakim) has advised political parties not to use mosques or suraus to preach non-authorised sermons during today’s Friday prayers.
Jakim director-general Datuk Wan Mohammad Sheikh Abdul Aziz said this was to avoid the place of worship being desecrated or misused by an unauthorised khatib (preacher).
He said if found guilty of such acts, a person could be fined up to RM5,000 or face a maximum three years’ jail or both under Section 11 of the Syariah Criminal Offences (

Is it haram campaigning in masjids?? If you are worried it would create a rift among the ummah you already did, even among the households.
